Regular readers will be familiar with Bay Area sailor Ronnie Simpson for his many sailing exploits, including a couple of Singlehanded TransPacs, as well as for staging sailing clinics for wounded veterans (Simpson was wounded in Iraq and feels strongly about helping other wounded soldiers). After traveling to Les Sables d'Olonne for the start of the 2012-13 Vendée Globe, the intrepid Ronnie Simpson has set his sights on joining the fleet in 2016. He's got the drive, he's honing his skills, and all he needs now is a boat!
