L V II

Two races, two breakdowns – one for Luna Rossa yesterday and now one today for ETNZ. The race easily in hand and displaying pace and an overall superiority to LR, ETNZ suffered a electronics/hydraulic failure which handed the race to Prada.

We always suspected that these things were going to break, and in that we have not been disappointed, but if this series comes down to simply who can finish, then it is more doomed than we already think it is.

Can the organizers simply fast-forward to the AC between Oracle and ETNZ? This is beginning to feel like the dawn of a loser forever.

Mean while, Oracle was out on Saturday and Sunday racignt heir two boats against each other until on Sunday, one boat had a failure of a rudder. So hardware issues can cause a loss for either team and can make for an interesting day of sailing or no sailing...
