Interesting but true...
I think most people know of Death Valley California. That place in the southwestern part of the state, the lowest point in the Western Hemisphere. Well a few weeks ago they were having a heat-wave, by that I mean it was hotter than normal. On average, it can reach 115 degrees F or about 46C in summer, this is not a rare event. But the heatwave was a bit more extreme, it was reaching temperatures of 125F (51C) and people were driving out to experience this intense heat. One thing people started to do was the proverbial fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk.... It became suck a mess that the Park Rangers had to stop people from doing this, it was becoming a big mess and they had to keep cleaning up the road... Oh, the eggs don't really fry so much as bake on the hot cement. But in any case, to have a bunch of eggs cooking on the road is not something that one wants to have to clean up, especially when it is 125 Degrees...
