Saturday wine

Saturday a friend and I drove up to a nice winery in Hood River Oregon and spent a nice couple of hours tasting their wine and enjoying the views. Though it was hot, the sitting area was nice and had misters going so it was a bit cooler. The Marchesi winery has a number of Italian varietals and they had several nice wines, not to fruity or over bearing, just a nice balance and taste.

After picking up a couple of bottles of wines, we stopped at Ovino, a wine and specialty shop for some cheese and cured meat, plus we had a bottle filled with their house blend wine. Was a nice shop and the wine is good as well. After Ovino we headed into town and walked the main street looking in shops. One last stop at a restaurant for a quick bite and a break from walking was in order so we went to Hill Top and had a salad and a glass of wine. The drive back was fast and it was a nice relaxing day out of town.
