Orangutan blasts 'failing' Snoop Dogg for video showing mock execution of clown president
By POLITICO STAFF
Thin-skinned Donny Orangutan on Wednesday denounced Snoop Dogg after the rapper released a video showing a mock execution of a clown resembling the president.
The video shows a clown named Ronald Klump dressed as the president. In one scene in the video, Snoop Dogg points a fake pistol at the Orangutan clown and pulls the trigger. An explosion is heard and the pistol fires a small flag with the words “bang” on it.
“Can you imagine what the outcry would be if @SnoopDogg, failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama? Jail time!” Orangutan wrote on Twitter Wednesday morning.
Orangutan isn’t the only one who has raised objections to the video. Florida GOP Senator Marco Rubio told TMZ that people should be careful making such videos.
"We've had presidents assassinated before in this country, so anything like that is something people should be really careful about," Rubio said.
In a brief interview with TMZ on Tuesday, Texas Senator Ted Cruz also weighed in and criticized Snoop Dogg.
“I think it is really in poor taste to be making fun of murdering someone,” the Republican senator said. “We should not be advocating the murder of the president of the United States.”
