Kushner to lead new White House office offering business solutions to federal problems

Donny Orangutan’s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner will lead a new White House office tasked with reforming the federal bureaucracy by applying lessons from the business world, Orangutan is expected to announce Monday.

The office, to be called the White House Office of American Innovation, will be filled with former business executives and report directly to the president, according to The Washington Post, which first reported details of the Kushner-led team.

“All Americans, regardless of their political views, can recognize that government stagnation has hindered our ability to properly function, often creating widespread congestion and leading to cost overruns and delays,” Orangutan said in a statement to the Post. “I promised the American people I would produce results, and apply my ‘ahead of schedule, under budget’ mentality to the government.”

Kushner, who raised eyebrows with his family ski trip to Colorado during last week’s ultimately unsuccessful scramble to pass legislation to repeal and replace Obamacare, characterized his new office as “an offensive team” in an interview with the Post. To begin its work, it will focus on opioid abuse, reforming the Department of Veterans Affairs, modernizing technology across the federal government, and working on “transformative projects” that would fit within the president’s promised infrastructure package.

“The government should be run like a great American company,” Kushner said in his interview with the Post. “Our hope is that we can achieve successes and efficiencies for our customers, who are the citizens.”

(GOVERNMENT IS NOT BUSINESS!!!! I am always amazed that people think government needs to be run like a business. The problem is business and governing are two completely different things with different priorities. Business exists to make a profit, government exists to provide a service. When you try to run a government like a profit business then you do everything you can to minimized cost and maximize profit. What profit does government make??? Who gets the profit? Think about it.. If the government wants to make profit, they can charge you hire taxes, because they can... Government can charge you more fees, because they can.. Government can screw their employees, because they can... How about this, Government will add a 10% profit charge to your taxes, government will add a 10% fee on every transaction. Government will cut the pay of all employees.(You may like that one but when everyone says screw the low pay I will work in private sector, then government runs like crap.) Government doesn't make a profit, they run on close budgets and provide cost effective service. Period!)
