Rubio passes Bush in congressional endorsements

Sen. Marco Rubio locked up a handful of congressional endorsements on Wednesday.
Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.), Rep. Matt Salmon (R-Ariz.), Rep. Glenn Thompson (R-Pa.), and Reps. Steve Womack and Rick Crawford, both Arkansas Republicans, all endorsed the Florida senator. Rep. Lynn Westmoreland (R-Ga.) reportedly plans to endorse Rubio on Thursday, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The endorsements are the latest in a rapidly increasing list of congressional backers who have thrown their support behind Rubio, who has now vaulted ahead of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush in the so-called "endorsement primary."
On Tuesday, Rubio was endorsed by South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, a highly coveted supporter in the key primary state.
