Hiking

Lighter C600 conditions this year mean that Lloyd Thornburg’s Phaedo is well off their 2015 record-setting pace, but they’ll be enjoying it more this year with some real competition. At the moment, Thornburg’s having a monster battle with Ned Collier-Wakefield’s Mich Desj-crewed Concise, with the green boat holding a tiny lead as they approach the infamous dead zone under Guadeloupe.  The secret to Phaedo’s lead?  Maybe it’s the hardest working man in offshore racing – Rob Greenhalgh – seen hiking his ass over the hull of the MOD like it’s his Exocet Moth.  Photo to thanks to Rachel Fallon-Langdon
