Dubois Cup
We know just how incredible these things are on the inside, but they sure do
carve a massive hole in the water as they sail around in low double digit
speeds… They’re all yachts from Ed Dubois, and an impressive 16 of these
monsters got together for the third Dubois Cup last weekend in Porto Cervo.
Just 8 boats raced while the rest presumably drank champagne and ate caviar,
but it wasn’t all conspicuous consumption; in fact, Dubois has his own foundation to fight
children’s cancer and has used this regatta to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars
to fight cancer in kids. Incredibly laudable, but perhaps they shouldn’t
tout that amount on a regatta website featuring boats that spend more than that
on a mainsail? Gorgeous work from Borlenghi.
