Avowed Anarchist Jonny Goldsberry ran the Delta Ditch like a pirate; the crazed SF adrenaline junkie and pro racer drove from Detroit to San Fran just in time to race his Mach 2 Moth the 70 miles from the Bay to Stockton.

‘IRRATIONAL 14′: “The Zebra hit a submerged piling or tree stump at full speed within the channel at mark 5… took out the leeward trunk, dagger board and rudder. Boat barely slowed down on impact. Got kite down, managed to jibe quickly on a single set of foils -getting to the levy seconds before the port hull sank and laid to rest in about 4 feet of water. Managed to lasso the sunken hull to a RIB and slowly got to the nearest boat ramp a few miles up river. Tuttle was on speed dial and ready for the undertaking. The boat will get the full Waterat treatment. Should be better than original for next year.”
