Clinton camp blasts Trump's 'pathetic' comment on 'rigged' election
By Nick Gass
Hillary Clinton's campaign fired back Tuesday after Donald Trump suggested the previous day at a rally that if he loses the general election against the Democratic nominee, it will be because it's "rigged."
"Even for a reflexive conspiracy theorist like Trump, this is pathetic. It's dangerous, too," Clinton's national press secretary Brian Fallon tweeted Tuesday with a link to the POLITICO article covering Trump's comment.
“First of all, it’s rigged and I’m afraid the election is going to be rigged, to be honest. I have to be honest because I think my side was rigged,” Trump told supporters at a town hall event in Columbus, Ohio, on Monday afternoon.
Trump later told a crowd in Pennsylvania that former Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders "made a deal with the devil” in endorsing Clinton, the "devil" being the former secretary of state.
