Most know that politically, socially, and environmentally I am a hardcore progressive. I have always leaned that way, but the tragedy of the Shrub administration, and the vile hatred, racism, corruption, misogyny and utter lunacy of Assolini  pushed me hard left into the only bastion of rationality here in the States.

And now, thanks to Shitler’s insane clown posse, there is legitimate worry for each and every one of us sailors. The Reich-wing fascistic playbook called Project 2025 literally calls for the destruction of Democracy as we know it, (I can already hear the tiresome caterwauls from the Trunts), but the one thing all of you must heed is this:

Project 2025 calls for the dismantling of NOAA. Think about that, and then be appalled by their reasons why – they are climate deniers and do not like the data that NOAA collects, as it refudiates their untruthful claims that climate change is essentially a “hoax”.

The call to dismantle a vital federal department has raised the hackles of experts who say NOAA provides not only important free data, such as weather forecasts and satellite observations, but also life-saving information about hurricanes, heat waves, atmospheric rivers and other extreme events — many of which have been shown, through myriad studies, to be worsening due to global warming.

Project 2025 isn’t just about climate change denial, it also. includes sweeping recommendations include plans to restrict abortion and contraceptives, cut social security, outlaw pornography, end marriage equality, end student loan relief efforts and eliminate other federal agencies such as the Department of Education.

On the environment, it calls for increased Arctic drilling, the deregulation of the oil industry, the repeal of the Inflation Reduction Act — President Biden’s landmark climate legislation — and withdrawal from the Paris climate agreement, among other recommendations.

Get education and read this. Who knows, some of you dunderheads might actually vote for the party that wants to do something good. For once. – ed.
