Sanders keeps up attacks on Trump

Bernie Sanders showed no sign of retreat from his attack on Donald Trump's rhetoric on Monday, calling him a "pathological liar" and criticizing his repeated claims that Muslims celebrated the 9/11 attacks in New Jersey.
“I fear that Donald Trump is doing a great disservice to our country internationally, fanning hatred of the United States all over the world," the independent Vermont senator and Democratic presidential candidate told "CBS This Morning."
Remarking that he is "not the most partisan guy in the world" and dislikes attacking his political foes, Sanders nonetheless reiterated his claim, first mentioned Sunday, that Trump is pathologically lying about what happened after terrorists destroyed the World Trade Center in 2001.
"When he goes before the American people and says he saw on a television screen thousands of people in New Jersey standing up and being so happy and celebrating 9/11 and the destruction of the twin towers, it never happened," Sanders said.
He also addressed the data breach scandal that broke last week, remarking that his campaign is working with the Democratic National Committee to "make sure that we have all of the information" relevant to investigating what happened when a technological glitch allowed Sanders campaign staffers to access Clinton voter data.
"But I believe that the action of the DNC to basically shut us off from all of the information that we have put into that base, the lifeblood of our campaign was totally inappropriate," he said, referring to the committee's decision, since reversed, to close off the campaign's access to its own data. "That’s an issue that we continue to deal with them on."
The two sides reached an agreement last Friday to restore access to the data after agreeing to an independent audit. Sanders said that several staffers had been suspended, in addition to the one who was fired last week.
