For laughs

Carson, Trump books found in 'Humor' section of bookstore

By Nick Gass

Ben Carson is brushing off some creative librarian work in a Miami-area Barnes & Noble, after a photo surfaced showing copies of his most recent book, along with a book from Donald Trump, in a curious place on the store's shelves — alongside works like "WTF? College," "Edward Scissorhands Mad Libs" and other "Books That Make You Laugh."

Asked on "Fox and Friends" whether he thought the rearrangement was a joke, Carson said he suspected that to be the case, suggesting it to be an instructive moment.

"But you know, there are a lot of people, particularly on the other side, who really have a very different philosophy of America," the Republican candidate said. "And people like me are a real threat to them, and people like Donald Trump are a real threat to them. But you know, the American people are a lot smarter than these people think. They’re not going to be manipulated as easy as they think they are."

Republican Hill aide Robbie Myers, who originally shared the photo on Twitter, commented, "clearly no liberal bias."
