Rubio on Trump's latest stunt: 'I drink water. So what?'
By Nick Gass
Marco Rubio said Tuesday he didn't get a chance to see Donald Trump's prank shipment of bottled water with the "Trump Ice Natural Spring Label."
"I heard it’s very high-quality water. Apparently Evian are a bunch of losers," the Florida senator joked during an interview with "Fox and Friends." "It is what it is. Yeah, I drink water. So what?" Trump sent a case of 24 bottles to Rubio's Washington office on Monday, as part of an ongoing feud between the rival presidential candidates, with Trump repeatedly goading the Florida senator as Rubio enjoys a rising wave of support since the second GOP debate.
The stunt goes back to Rubio's 2013 State of the Union GOP rebuttal in which he infamously reached off-camera for a small Poland Spring bottled water before taking a gulp and then continuing his speech.
Trump also sent over two towels with his campaign slogan "Make America Great Again."
“Since you’re always sweating, we thought you could use some water. Enjoy!” Trump's note read, according to CNN.
"I only sweat when it’s hot," Rubio said on Tuesday morning, in reference to Trump's repeated remark that Rubio sweated profusely during last month's second Republican debate in Simi Valley, California.
