The Boeing / NASA X-48B Blended Wing Body research aircraft has completed it's 100th test flight. This aircraft is a test-bed for the wing-body design. Basically the fuselage is integrated into the wing to form part of the lift generating component. Most conventional aircraft the body of the plane creates drag and no lift, this design allows the body to add lift and reduce drag. This make the aircraft more efficient and allows different body configurations.
