Former RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel, who was ousted and replaced in part by Donald Trump's daughter-in-law, reemerged on Wednesday to warn in an op-ed that Republicans are well behind in their efforts to get the Gen Z vote.
“In an election that will be won on the margins, the failure of Republicans to engage these new young voters would amount to a missed opportunity," McDaniel wrote in The Hill. "Already my kids have been inundated with Democratic mail and texts, and my son has even had Democratic organizers knock doors in his college apartment complex.”
She went on to say that “we have a good opportunity to add more young voters to that coalition and put a Republican back in the White House, keep control of the House and win the Senate majority. We just need engage them.”
McDaniel has not made a public appearance since she briefly flirted with a role at NBC News. RNC Chair Michael Whatley is in Grand Rapids, Michigan, today for a “door launch” event.
