Who won the day? Sam Brown
Brown won the day — for 6.2 million reasons.

When the Senate Leadership Fund announced Thursday that it would pump $6.2 million into Nevada, it put a bow on what has appeared to be solid early-voting trends for Republicans in the state.
And it was the first national Republican money bomb on Sam Brown's behalf in his underdog bid against Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.), who has led Brown throughout the race in public and private polling.
With that, Brown won the day.
He might not be the only Republican Senate candidate having a good one, either. The news comes on a day when a report filed with the Federal Election Commission revealed that tech CEO Elon Musk gave $10 million to the Mitch McConnell-linked Senate Leadership Fund earlier this month. And Senate Democrats face a tough map in places like Ohio and Montana, where American Crossroads, a sister group, pulled $2.8 million in TV reservations with Republican Tim Sheehy leading Democratic Sen. Jon Tester in polls.
In Nevada, the investment in Brown could suggest good news for Donald Trump, too, as Republicans there eye a rightward shift among Latinos.
But both Republicans and Democrats in the state admit they are flying somewhat blind.
“Anybody that says they’re certain about where Nevada is going in this election is making it up,” Mark Mellman, a Democratic pollster who has long worked in the state, told POLITICO recently. “Uncertainty reigns.”
We ask ourselves every night: Who won the day? Now we’ll tell you — every weekday. Last night, it was Harris.
