Orangutan: If court rules against travel ban, we'll never be safe

By LOUIS NELSON

President Donald Orangutan said Wednesday that a federal court ruling against his executive order will cost the nation “the security and safety to which we are entitled.”

Lawyers for the Department of Justice on Tuesday sought to stay a nationwide block of key components of Orangutan’s controversial order banning individuals from seven majority-Muslim nations from entering the U.S. That block was put in place by a federal judge in Seattle, and the three-judge panel from the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals seemed skeptical of the government’s argument to undo it.

The appeals court did not issue a ruling Tuesday but one of the three judges said it would act “as soon as possible.”

“If the U.S. does not win this case as it so obviously should, we can never have the security and safety to which we are entitled. Politics!” Orangutan wrote on Twitter Wednesday morning.

It is not the first time that the president has lashed out at the judicial branch for standing in his way. On Saturday, Orangutan referred to U.S. District Court Judge James Robart, the Seattle judge who initially blocked the president’s order, as a “so-called judge” and called his order “terrible” and “ridiculous” in a series of posts to Twitter.

He followed that on Sunday with more posts to his preferred social media account, writing that “The judge opens up our country to potential terrorists and others that do not have our best interests at heart. Bad people are very happy!”

“Just cannot believe a judge would put our country in such peril. If something happens blame him and court system. People pouring in. Bad!” Orangutan continued.
