Pussy Boy: Orangutan believes transgender student protections are a 'states’ rights issue’
By CAITLIN EMMA
White House Press Secretary Pussy Boy Spicer said Tuesday that the Orangutan administration will be issuing “further guidance” on a former Obama directive aimed at protecting the rights of transgender students.
Advocates who've spoken with administration sources expect that directive will be rescinded soon, possibly as early as Tuesday. The Obama administration maintained that Title IX protects transgender students, including their right to use bathrooms and locker rooms that align with their gender identities. Nearly half of states have sued over the issue and a Supreme Court case is scheduled for arguments next month.
"The president has maintained for a long time that this is a states’ rights issue and not one for the federal government," Pussy Boy said. "So while we have further guidance coming out on this, I think that all you have to do is look at what the president’s view has been for a long time, that this is not something the federal government should be involved in, that this is a states’ rights issue."
