Nothing he won't say

Pitbull on Trump: 'There's nothing he won't say to have the limelight'

By Nick Gass

The Democratic and Republican parties may have found their candidates, but the party's still going strong in the Pitbull primary.

In a new interview with Vanity Fair for its August issue, the Miami-born, Cuban-American hip-hop artist who last year warned Trump to "watch out for El Chapo," revealed that he met with Trump, though he did not say when. Pitbull has not made his feelings known about which candidate he plans to support.

“He flew [me] in his helicopter over to his resort in West Palm Beach," Pitbull told Vanity Fair's Lisa Robinson. "I like to sit down with people and see what they’ve got going on, and if there’s anybody that’s fallen down and got back up . . . with all the bankruptcies he’s been through—well, you have to respect certain things about him," he added, while making no distinction between personal bankruptcies, of which Trump has had zero, and business-related bankruptcies, of which Trump has been a party to four.

As far as Trump's comments about Mexicans last year, Pitbull commented, "I don't think he knew what he was talking about, and there's nothing he won’t say to have the limelight. The more outlandish [it is], the more they put it on television.”
