Brewing beers last step (before drinking) is to bottle the beer. In the past I would use a bottle capper and cap individual bottles, but this time I bought bottles with the clip top locking lids. It made the process faster since I didn't have to cap each bottle.

Chub in the fermenter |
One the beer finished fermenting, I transferred it into the bucket again and mixed in the priming sugar. This gives the yeast some food to eat while in the bottle and the little fermentation processed the carbonation in the bottle. Once the sugar was added, I filled the bottles and flipped the cap on. Finished... At this time I was able to taste the beer to see how it tasted, it has a very mild flavor with a good hop smell, but not bitter. This is what I was going for, I didn't want t strong hop taste. The color came out a nice golden brown and looks great in the bottle.

Filled and capped |
Once the last bottle was filled, I had to clean up the mess and wash out the fermenter and dump the 'chub', the leftover sediment from the process. Now the beer will sit for about two weeks to carbonate and clarify. Then drinking! I will pop a bottle after one week to see how it is coming along and taste it, then I will try another at two weeks. The beer is fresh and not processed so it is good to drink relatively quickly, I will hand out a few bottle for sure.
