Trump says he has encouraged Netanyahu to "keep going" in Iran campaign

President Donald Trump says he has encouraged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to continue his campaign in Iran.
“I said: Keep going,” Trump told CNN when questioned about his message to the Israeli leader amid spiraling regional tensions.
“I speak to him every day,” Trump went on. “He’s a good man, doing a lot.”
Trump’s last known conversation with Netanyahu was yesterday, as the US president weighs joining Israel’s efforts against Iran.
Trump said he believed Netanyahu has “been very unfairly treated by his country,” an apparent reference to ongoing legal issues in Israel.
Asked whether he had given Netanyahu any indication that he may aid the country beyond what he has done already, Trump said he had not.
“No. So far, he’s done a good job. He has been treated very unfairly,” Trump said. “He’s a wartime president, and he’s going through this nonsense, it’s ridiculous.”
