By Eliza Collins
Republican candidates may seek to wrap themselves in the mantle of Ronald Reagan, but Vice President Joe Biden thinks the Gipper would be laughed out of the GOP's presidential field today.
"If Ronald Reagan were alive today seeking nomination, he could no more get the nomination of the Republican Party than I could get the nomination," Biden said during a question and answer session in Dubai following a meeting with the prime minister of the United Arab Emirates, according to a pool report.
"We are reaping the downside of what has become a nasty political environment," Biden said, adding that American politics had become "petty and venal.”
