Ben Carson sees no 'political path' forward to GOP nomination

Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson said in a statement Wednesday that his sees no path forward to the GOP nomination for president.
Carson, who failed to break the single digits in any Super Tuesday vote, said he won't be participating in Thursday's GOP debate.
"I do not see a political path forward in light of last evening's Super Tuesday primary results. However, this grassroots movement on behalf of 'We the People' will continue," Carson's statement said.
"Along with millions of patriots who have supported my campaign for President, I remain committed to Saving America for Future Generations," the statement continued. "We must not depart from our goals to restore what God and our Founders intended for this exceptional nation."
Carson's statement Wednesday comes the day after Texas Sen. Ted Cruz urged his Republican rivals to drop out of the race so Republicans could coalesce around his candidacy in a bid to defeat front runner Donald Trump.
