Water

Here is a link to an interesting story on the state of rivers in California and one in particular. A lot of the water is now being diverted and the plan is to take even more for use in agriculture and to ship to southern cities. I still find it strange that people don't understand that southern California is in a desert and there is very little natural fresh water, no one seems to equate the facts that water has to be shipped in and where it comes from there isn't as much as before. Yet more and more people move to the region....
