'He has lost it': Trump trolled over another gaffe-ridden and 'unintelligible' speech before Iowa caucus
Story by Rittwik Naskar
Donald Trump visited Iowa for the third time this month on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, urging his supporters to vote in "big numbers" when Republicans cast their first presidential nomination votes in 33 days.
Despite his position as the frontrunner in national polls and among prospective Iowa caucusgoers, the former president urged his supporters to not become complacent.
Trump addressed Iowa voters by saying, "We have to put big numbers up, really big numbers. We are leading by a lot but you have to go out and vote. That margin of victory is so, so powerful."
What did Trump say on Wednesday in Iowa?
Donald Trump's bid for the 2024 Republican nomination saw him frequently campaigning in Iowa during the autumn.
According to The Associated Press, he visited Iowa 11 times since September, more than any other early-voting state.
He held the 'Commit to Caucus' event near Iowa City in Coralville, which was a combination of a rally and a 'Caucus 101' session.
The event included an explanatory animated video featuring a panel of local organizers who guided Iowa Republicans on how and where to participate in the in-person meetings.
During the event, Trump not only insulted his Republican presidential contenders and President Joe Biden but also boasted about his influence in keeping Iowa at the forefront of the Republican nominating process.
Unfortunately for the former president, many social media accounts clipped up portions of his speech on Wednesday where he could be seen slurring, pronouncing unintelligible words, and overall finding it hard to string together a coherent sentence.
In one such clip from his speech, Trump said, "With your vote by Christmas, and we're going to have it by Christmas, 2024, that's just shortly after the election. Because of the momentum of our victory, we will have (unintelligible) economy roaring back and in 2025, we'll have one of the greatest economic years this nation has ever recorded."
Internet says Trump is declining rapidly
X users had fun at the former president's expense and expressed he was spiraling before the crucial 2024 US general elections going by the videos of him slurring through his rally speech in Iowa on Wednesday.
One X user wrote, "He has lost it. Biden will still be president on Christmas 2024."
Another user quipped, "I would love to hear more about the ules economy"
Another user remarked, "What kind of economy? Euniss?"
One X user said, "A yooonisss economy is the bestest economy!!"
Another user wrote, "The promises are so empty he can't even find words to describe how empty they are."
Finally, this user tweeted, "A unis economy. He learned about that kind of stuff in economy school."
