Former White House aide Dina Powell rejoins Goldman Sachs

By LORRAINE WOELLERT

Dina Powell, who until January served as a top national security adviser in the White House, will rejoin Goldman Sachs as a member of the firm's management committee, the company announced Tuesday.

"Dina will focus on enhancing the firm's relationships with sovereign clients around the world," Goldman executives wrote in an email to employees. "She will work closely with colleagues across the firm, ensuring that we are providing our sovereign clients with effective coverage and insightful ideas, drawing on our strengths and expertise in all of our divisions. She will also work to enhance other important client relationships at the firm. In addition, Dina will also assume overall responsibility for the firm's corporate engagement initiatives."

The email was signed by Goldman Chief Executive Officer and Chairman Lloyd Blankfein and Presidents David Solomon and Harvey Schwartz.

Before joining the White House, Powell was global head of impact investing at Goldman, a group that includes the Goldman Sachs Foundation.
