MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” co-host Joe Scarborough ripped President Trump’s speech in Poland on Thursday, saying, “The first 20 minutes was one of the worst presidential speeches I’ve ever heard on foreign soil.”
However, Scarborough noted that Trump “finished strong” because U.S. allies in Europe have to liked that the president reaffirmed American commitment to NATO and spoke out against propaganda and financial crimes by Russia.
However, the “Morning Joe” panel didn’t like that Trump criticized American intelligence agencies on foreign soil and Scarborough called the remarks “nothing short of disgusting.”
Co-host Mika Brzezinski added, “I am certain that his foreign policy team didn’t prepare him that way.”
“For a sitting president of the United States, really, to be on foreign soil — you can’t really underline this enough — and attack America’s intel community, on foreign soil, and attack America’s free press on foreign soil… to attack American institutions two days after the fourth of July on foreign soil, the day before we meet America’s chief adversary, is nothing short of disgusting,” Scarborough said.
Trump is expected to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Slovenia on Friday.
