Just what it took to build and launch was amazing, the telescope has return more on the cost than ever expected. With so many discoveries and work still to come, this is one of the most important scientific instruments that has ever been built.
After the fix and the shock of sending up a defective main mirror, the telescope has performed flawlessly. Here are some pictures of Hubble itself. When we look at the pictures we forget what took them, so lets remember this tool and marvel at what it does.
