$3,300 is cheep, but expensive for a shit-sandwich...

Ron DeSantis attends secretive, $3,300-a-plate NorCal breakfast

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis appeared in Sacramento Monday at Del Paso Country Club for a private breakfast event to raise money for his GOP presidential campaign, KCRA 3 confirmed.

His campaign had been tight-lipped about where the event would take place but Assemblyman Joe Patterson, who attended the event, confirmed DeSantis’ $3,300-per-person fundraiser took place at the club. KCRA crews on the scene captured video of DeSantis’ motorcade leaving the event out of the back, service entrance of the club at 10:20 a.m. Other reporters had been standing watch at the front gate.

A flyer for the "roundtable breakfast" said real estate developer Steven Eggert and his wife, Pamela, were hosts for the fundraiser.

A recent Berkeley IGS poll shows DeSantis trailing former President Donald Trump in the Republican primary in California, with 44% of likely Republican voters stating they would vote for Trump and 26% stating they would pick DeSantis.

DeSantis' stop in Sacramento will be his first in California since he and his administration in Florida admitted their involvement in transporting 36 migrants from the Southern Border in Texas and dropped them off, unannounced, in Sacramento.

California Attorney General Rob Bonta has said the state's Department of Justice is working to determine whether criminal or civil action may be taken against DeSantis, his administration, and the private contractors hired to take the migrants from one state to the other.

Sources told KCRA 3 that DeSantis headed next to a fundraiser in Coalinga in Fresno County that began at noon. He’s expected to remain in California all day.

Also on Monday, President Joe Biden landed in the Bay Area for a number of fundraisers.
