Police said the man was in stable condition following the shooting.

At 9:37 p.m., dispatchers got a 911 call from the 5400 block of Roberts Avenue where a 16-year-old boy was hit by a bullet that may have been part of celebratory gunfire, police said. The boy was in stable condition after the injury, according to police.

Then at 10 p.m., officers responded to the 2200 block of 23rd Avenue where they located a 29-year-old Oakland man who had been hit by multiple bullets, police said. He also was in stable condition following the shooting, according to police.

When they arrived, they found a 45-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound that may have resulted from celebratory gunfire, police said. The victim was in critical condition.

About an hour later, someone flagged down officers in the 4200 block of International Boulevard about an unresponsive person, according to police. Officers found an Oakland man suffering from blunt trauma to his head. The man was taken to a hospital where he died, police said.

Just after midnight, police responded to the 7700 block of Bancroft Avenue after someone reported a shooting. Officers located a 48-year-old Oakland man suffering from at least one gunshot wound and he died where officers found him, according to police.

At 9:54 a.m. officers went to the 2400 block of 88th Avenue where they located a woman suffering from a gunshot wound, police said. She was taken to a hospital where she was in grave condition, according to police.

Across Oakland, illegal sideshows occurred, and many participants and spectators were hostile and violent toward police. A spectator was struck by a sideshow vehicle and suffered a life-altering critical injury, police said.

At least three people were arrested in connection with the sideshows, six vehicles were towed, and five guns recovered, including a rifle, according to police.
