In the Water
The Tall Ship Mathew Turner has touched water and is sitting on her lines. After a nearly four year build, she rolled down the ramp Saturday afternoon and touch the bay waters for the first time. The Hull is complete, now the standing rig must be built and stepped. Built with local wood, most salvaged or sustainable harvested, she is one hundred feet in length and build of California Oak and Douglas Fur. It will be another six months before she will sail under her own powered by the wind.
