San Salvador the ship is coming along very nicely. The replica of the 1500's sailing ship is being built in San Diego Bay and there are more current pictures of the build. This ship will be something to see when sailing even though it is not very big. These ships were built to explore the California coast and not do long ocean crossings so they are designed to sail close to shore and go into bays and inlets. A larger ship would be harder to handle in these close quarters. Visit the site and take a look at all the build photos to see the process.
