If you call it sex with a 1 inch mushroom...

The torrid details...

BEN FEUERHERD

Daniels testified that she and her publicist at the time, Gina Rodriguez, wanted to sell her story about sex with Trump to news outlets in the fall of 2016. She said there was little interest in a deal until the Access Hollywood tape was released and Trump’s relationship with women became central in the final weeks of the presidential campaign.

Daniels said at first she was not aware of interest from Trump or Michael Cohen in buying the story because she was not shopping it for money.

“My motivation wasn’t money. It was to get the story out,” she said.

Daniels is becoming emotional and appearing to tear up for the first time during her testimony today, as she recounts an instance where she said she was approached by an unknown man in Las Vegas in 2011 and told to keep quiet.

“He threatened me not to continue to tell my story … about my encounter with Mr. Trump. ... He told me not to say anything at all and I was scared. I didn’t want any more of the story coming out,” Daniels said. She acknowledges she didn’t report the alleged threat to police and didn’t tell her husband at the time.

Daniels is now recounting how she agreed to a paid interview for $15,000 with In Touch magazine in 2011. She said it followed someone leaking to the magazine that she and Trump had a sexual encounter.

“I freaked out. I don’t know who leaked it. I had just had my daughter,” Daniels said. She explained her decision to cooperate this way: “I’d rather make the money if it was money made off of me and I could control the narrative.” The interview was never published.

Daniels testified that she and her assistant met Trump at Trump Tower in 2007. She said the meeting was brief because Trump was very busy, but noted he did not seem concerned about hiding her presence from anyone there.

“We took selfies,” she testified. “He introduced me to everybody. He just seemed busy.”

Daniels said Trump spoke to her about the possibility of her appearing on "The Apprentice," but he said he was getting “pushback” about casting her.

Prosecutor Susan Hoffinger is having Daniels recount various subsequent meetings with Trump and asking her why she agreed to meet. About a 2007 event for Trump Vodka, Daniels says: “It was a public place. It was a public event.” Every time Daniels says something like that, defense attorney Susan Necheles objects. The judge is generally sustaining the objections.

Daniels said that in the months after the alleged encounter, Trump frequently called her cell phone. “He would call on average once a week. ... He always called me honeybunch,” she recalled.

Daniels suggests Trump strung her along about a possible role on “The Apprentice.” He eventually gave her the work number of his assistant, Rhona. Daniels says she didn’t know her last name, but his longtime assistant was Rhona Graff.

Daniels testified that she was baffled about how she ended up having sex with Trump, but said she agreed to it because she didn’t say anything at all. “I felt to myself, 'great, I put myself in this bad situation,'” she said. “I just think I blacked out.” She added that she met Trump in a hotel nightclub the night after, where the former president introduced her to former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

Daniels also said that "there was an imbalance of power, for sure. He was bigger and blocking the way, but I was not threatened either verbally or physically.”

Awkward moments in the courtroom as Daniels details the alleged sexual encounter. “I had my clothes and my shoes off. I believe my bra was still on. We were in missionary position,” Daniels said. Defense jumps in to object. The judge sustains the objection. One female juror looks uncomfortable with the comments and is looking away while holding her forehead.

Daniels testified that at some point during their encounter in the hotel room, she went to the bathroom and emerged to find Trump waiting for her on the bed in his underwear.

“He was just up on the bed like this,” Daniels said, then pulled her leg up near her waist on the witness stand.

Daniels said she experienced a feeling “like a fun house” and felt things moving in slow motion, but told jurors she was not drunk or on drugs.

Trump’s attorneys objected twice during the line of questioning and had a brief sidebar with the judge and prosecutors.

Trump appears to be very upset about having to sit through Daniels’ testimony. When the porn star said Trump told her that he and his wife Melania don’t sleep in the same bed anymore, the former president shook his head. When Daniels told jurors that she “swatted” Trump on the backside with a magazine during their encounter in Lake Tahoe, he appeared to mouth “bullshit.”

As she recounted their alleged encounter, Daniels is flattering Trump somewhat, saying he showed interest in the details of the adult film industry beyond the sex. “He was very interested in a lot of the business aspects of it, which I thought was very cool,” she said. He asked about unions and, eventually, about how and when performers are tested for STDs.

Daniels testified about a conversation she and Trump had in his hotel suite. Trump asked her about how she got involved in the adult entertainment industry and how she segued into writing and directing. She recounted to jurors how she corrected a misconception by telling Trump that some pornographic films have real scripts and are real movies.

“It’s not just, ‘Oh, sorry Mr. Pizza Boy,’” she said.

Trump is facing straight ahead and seems to be intent on not looking at Daniels as she testifies. She’s describing in detail meeting Trump in his hotel room at the golf tournament. She says he was wearing pajamas when she first saw him. “I told him to go change. So, he obliged, very politely,” she said.

Daniels testified that at the golf event, Trump’s bodyguard asked Daniels if she would be interested in having dinner with Trump that night. Prosecutor Susan Hoffinger asked Daniels what she said at the time. “F no,” she responded.

A dramatic moment in court just now as a prosecutor asked Daniels to identify Trump.

“Do you see Mr. Trump in the courtroom today?” Susan Hoffinger asked.

Daniels craned her neck and shifted slightly to see around the judge’s bench.

“Navy blue jacket — at the table,” Daniels said as she pointed in Trump’s direction.

When they met on the golf course, Trump took a liking to Daniels because she was introduced to him as not just a porn actress, but also a porn director, she said. “You must be the smart one,” he told her, according to her testimony. When they met later at a gift room at the event, Trump reiterated his comment, she said.
