Trump settles legal dispute with former aide

By Nolan D. McCaskill

Donald Trump’s campaign has settled a month-long dispute with former aide Sam Nunberg, according to a document filed in New York on Thursday morning.

Trump and Nunberg agreed to a “stipulation of discontinuance with prejudice,” meaning both parties have settled on an agreement that can’t be relitigated.

Trump in May sought $10 million in damages from Nunberg for allegedly breaching a nondisclosure agreement after claiming an affair between former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski and spokeswoman Hope Hicks.

Trump counsel Alan Garten said in a statement last month that Nunberg was “simply looking for free publicity using categorically false claims.”
