Maldives

With islands popping up a mere 5 feet from the ocean surface, the Maldives are one of the countries most threatened by climate change and rising sea levels. I had a friend go tot he Maldives a few years ago and said it was a real treck to get there, very isolated in the middle of the Indian Ocean. But the islands are a great surfing spot and incrediable land scape. But the islands are threatend like so many others by sea level rise. It is possible that these island nations will simply go under the waves in a few decades.
