Heaviest wave in the world


US surfer Laird Hamilton rides a wave at Teahupoo in Tahiti on May 14, 2013. Waves at Teahupoo are known to reach 7 to 10 feet, sometimes reaching 21 feet. It is commonly referred to as the 'heaviest wave in the world.'
